peration Uplifted Saints is a group of spouses whose counterparts are deployed. We meet the first Monday night of each month at 7:30 P.M. in the Sunday school room closest to the gymnasium. We are an awesome group who are uplifting each other during this time of separation from our spouses. Some of us have been through a deployment before, but for others, this is their first time and it is tough. We are here to support each other and be available for anything one another may need. We understand the importance of binding together and are continually brainstorming new ways to join together in fellowship. Whether it is a one-day trip to Atlanta, a meeting at Marble Slab, or a get together at one of our homes, we try to keep the fellowship, and friendships, fresh and upbeat. Many of the husbands and wives of those deployed are away from their extended families as well as being separated from their spouse, and the people they meet at Operation Uplifted Saints are the only ones they have contact with for support. Our meetings inform the spouses here at the Homeland of what may be going on with the units; give tips on how to stay strong, busy, and safe; provide great ideas for hobbies and local events, and most of all, encouragement to each other. Each meeting, there is at least one spouse who will speak and give personal testimony or a short devotion. Each one thus far has been outstanding! We open up to each other and learn that by sharing some of our individual battles and how we overcame them, we may assist another spouse when that battle comes their way. Our loved ones are in the midst of a battle that is seen and unseen, and we know we must help them carry their loads here in the States. Our group gives tips on how to juggle what life throws at you and also teaches how to throw it back and make it work. "With God all things are possible." He is our strength and we are each other's. Please join us for one of our meetings to experience the benefits to be derived from this group in the life of an Army Wife/Husband. Everyone is welcome!
