Ladies' Ministry

Welcome to the Ladies' Ministries!

 Ladies Auxiliary

Our ladies provide much needed support to keep the Lord's House running smoothly.  As we work together for special events to provide food, decoration, or "whatever our hands sees the need to do", we add the Mother's touch for our guests. From fellowship dinners, bereavement trays, bridal showers to showers for expectant Moms, our ladies get the job done!!

We set an annual goal to give a generous offering to Mother's Memorial to the Georgia District U.P.C.I.

 Some of our Activities:

  • Church Gigantic Yard Sale: twice a year we put together a HUGE yard sale in our gymnasium on a Saturday from 7:00am to 1:00 pm. We also sell THE BEST chicken salad sandwiches in Columbus during the sale hours.
  • Taste of Christmas/Fall Auction: Every November we invite everyone to come out and enjoy our preview of Christmas with holiday goodies and items. We also hold an auction selling anything from ktichen sets to cars.

 Ladies Prayer

Prayer is important and powerful. Every Christian must use this tool constantly and effectively. At The Church of Columbus, when the women unite in prayer, mountains our moved! Led by Asst. Pastor Deawn Richards, the ladies meet every Tuesday night at 7:30pm to intercede on behalf of our families, our church, and our city and nation!

"It's Time" Women's Conferences

In the late summer of 2009, The Church of Columbus held it's first ever Ladies Conference. This had been a vision of our very own Sis. Melissa Wilson for some time, but in 2009, she and some other ladies decided "it's time" to bring forth this dream. It was a major success! The theme was "Challenging the Enemy Through Poweful Prayer" with guest speaker Dr. Allison Doty, a well-known psychologist and author, talked about the healing power of forgiveness.

This past year, our 2011 "It's Time" Womens Conference: Hold Your Position and Keep The Faith! Conference was a complete blessing for all in attendence. We are thankful for all the women that chose to spend thier Saturday with us and we pray that what you heard and saw will continue to bless you and enourage you to "Hold Your Position and Keep The Faith!"
